About Me

Dear Potential Sponsors

Hi my name is Heather Pollack and I am a fitness competitor. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to prepare for these competitions. The Women’s Tri-Fitness World Challenge is a prestigious sporting event that includes athletes from all over the world who come out to Las Vegas once a year to represent their home town. This competition consists of an obstacle course, fitness routine, fitness skills, and a grace and physique round. The athletic components of this competition tests the athletes’ strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, power, and coordination. This event has a foundation based on dedication to health, fitness, family, friends, and the competitive spirit. I placed 13th overall in the Women’s Tri-Fitness World Challenge in Las Vegas this July and I placed 6th overall in the Fitness Floor Routines. I placed 2nd in grace and physique in my age group. I Cant wait for the next show!! I am currently training and preparing for the 2008 Fall Classic in Tampa, Florida.

I am also excited to compete in my first Fitness America Pageant in Las Vegas November 21-22. This will be broadcast live on ESPN and will have 400+ competitors. I will participate in the Fitness America, Model America and Ms. Bikini America divisions.

I grew up in Sarasota Florida, graduated from Boston University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I am 24 years old. It is a combination of my positive outlook on life, athleticism, motivation, determination, hard work, and never give up attitude that allows me to take my fitness to another level. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Gymnastics Coach. I found happiness and fulfillment in helping others reach their health and fitness goals. I absolutely LOVE what I do!

What I love most about preparing for and participating in fitness competitions is helping others try to reach there goals, setting goals for myself and doing my best to achieve them, being prepared, reaching for the stars, and having no regrets.

Training and dieting for this event takes extreme discipline and hard work. My biggest challenge is the cost of being a competitive athlete. Most of the training and events produce expenses that limit progress and growth as an athlete. I am currently seeking a mutually beneficial relationship with you and/or your company to assist in my financial needs in reaching my dreams as a competitive athlete. In exchange for supporting me, I will give full company endorsement and effective product marketing. Being a Personal Trainer puts me in a unique position as a role model, mentor, and motivator. Regular contact with these clients makes it possible to make recommendations that can impact the lives of a wide variety of people. These recommendations can be word of mouth or physical endorsements such as prominent displays of company logos. Here is a list of expenses for each upcoming 2008 competition alone.

Entry Fees: $175

Travel: $400

Hotel: $800

Competition Gear: $600

Supplements: $400

Choreography: $400

TOTAL: $4075

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated! My goals are set and my dreams are BIG! If you can, please help make my dreams come true!

***As supplemental information about the events that are involved in the tri-fitness competition, we can add….

FITNESS SKILLS

The Fitness Skills Event consists of three exercises designed to test the strength and skill of each athlete. As you can see, they aren’t easy!!

Box Jumps

This event will be performed using a 20 inch box. The athletes will jump 50 repititions. Both feet must land on top of the box. This is a timed event.

Bench Press

This event will be performed using 60 percent of the athlete’s body weight. Weight will be rounded off to the closest 5 pounds. If the weight falls in the exact middle between 2 weights then the highest weight will be used. The athlete will bench press the weight by fully extending both arms and lowering the bar to the athlete’s chest.

Shuttle Run

The athlete will pick up 10 tennis balls and place them in a riser 20 feet away. Only one ball at a time will be picked up. This is a timed event.

Scoring

The scoring will be done by adding up the repetitions for the box jump and bench press. The total number of balls picked up during the Shuttle Run will be multiplied by 3 and added to the total repetitions of the other 2 events. The sum of the 3 events will be divided by 10. This will be the athlete’s final score.

FITNESS FLOOR ROUTINE

To give you a general idea of what I’ll be doing in the Fitness Routine event here are the WTF rules:

The athlete will perform a maximum 2-minute routine. They will be judged on strength moves, flexibility, endurance, choreography and overall performance and presentation.

Each routine must consist of at least 2 Strength and 2 Flexibility moves.

Routines may include aerobics, gymnastics, cheerleading, martial arts or other demonstrations of athletic talents.

Props are allowed, but athlete must be able to carry their prop on and off stage.

The stage will consist of a 20′ x 40′ area. A gymnastics floor will be used for all major competitions.

The scoring will be done on a 10 point system. The high and low scores will be dropped and the overall score will be based on the average of the remaining scores.
